A solution produced in a manner similar to a traditional sewing machine, with hundreds of needles stitching yarn into a backing fabric. This cost effective technique produces endless textural and design possibilities, from geometric to freeform. Machine tufted carpets are recommended for luxury residential and hospitality wall-to-wall projects that have designs with textural effects.

The primary backing is woven or non-woven fabric into which the pile yarn is inserted by the tufting needles. A secondary backing is adhered to the underside of the carpet, providing additional tuft bind and dimensional stability. Secondary backing are usually made of man made materials such as polypropylene, latex foam, thermoplastics or vinyl.
